Motorola Droid 3 Accessories

With the new Motorola Droid 3 being released on July 7th, many consumers are left wondering what the differences lie between the Motorola Droid 2 and the Motorola Droid 3. The changes between these two generations of phones may not be apparent upon first glance. However, Motorola has made some large changes to the internal components of the Droid 3 that will also usher in new Motorola Droid 3 accessories. First, the camera on the Motorola Droid 3 is much more powerful. It packs an 8MP camera on the back, compared to the 5MP camera on the Droid 2. Furthermore, the Droid 3 is capable of shooting HD video in 1080p. This is a major leap over the Motorola Droid 2 and will allow for better quality video and picture shooting.

The battery in the Motorola Droid 3 has also been upgraded. Now the phone includes a 1540 mAh Li Ion battery. Early Motorola Droid 3 accessories include a wireless charging back plate and an extended battery that will increase battery life. This will be helpful for powering the Droid 3 because of its new 1Ghz dual-core processor which easily trumps the Droid 2's processor. The new Motorola Droid 3 will include an HDMI connection for viewing media on your TV. This new connector will require a separate Motorola Droid 3 accessories to purchase. In addition to an HDMI connection, the phone also packs in a Micro USB connector and a Micro Connector cable. This will allow for ease of charging and give users more choices in Motorola Droid 3 accessories that have a compatible micro USB connector.

Perhaps the most significant improvement in the Droid 3 is the updated QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard now features 5 rows and has a dedicated number row at the very top. Compared to the Motorola Droid 2, this keyboard is a welcomed change. Users will find the new keyboard more ergonomic and easier to type on. Of course, this keyboard update has required Motorola to slightly reconfigure the dimensions of the Droid 3. The device now measures 64.1 x 123.3 x 12.9 mm, while the Droid 2 measures 60.5 x 116.3 x 13.7 mm. In addition, the Motorola Droid 3 now weighs 184 grams while the Droid 2 weighed only 169 grams. Of course, it should be noted that the Droid 3 now packs a 4-inch screen while the Droid 2 only has a 3.7-inch screen. This change means that Motorola Droid 3 accessories will not be backwards compatible with the Droid 2. There are some very exciting Motorola Droid 3 accessories available for the newest Droid. First, as mentioned earlier, there is the new wireless charging back plate. This allows users to charge the device without having to physically plug the device in. It is assumed that this will work with the new desktop charger as well. Early release documents also show that the Motorola Droid 3 will also be receiving a window mount for use in the car or in the home. In addition, it is believed that most, if not all, new cases should be compatible with the extended battery door if an extended battery is purchased for the device. The Motorola Droid 3 is a vast improvement over the Droid 2. In addition to a better processor, better screen, and better keyboard, the Droid 3 also includes many new and exciting Motorola Droid 3 accessories.
